31 meals

the day after we went to the farm, i spent about 4 hours in the kitchen chopping vegetables. i took several of our recipes that we like and cut up all the veggies that go in each one. i bagged them and labeled them, so that when i want to cook one of those meals, all my veggies are ready to go.

here's all the meals i have veggies for...
red beans & rice x 3
chili x 4
fajitas x 3
tortilla soup x 3
chicken noodle soup x 6
roasted chicken x 4
stew x 4
sweet and sour chicken x 4

i cut all the veggies for 31 meals and put them nicely in my freezer.  it will make dinner time a bit easier for me and i get to feed my family fresh veggies that are locally grown, without all the nasty pesticides.  this is something i'm really focusing on...eating things that are grown naturally, not genetically engineered.  it's frightening what you can learn about the way crops are grown!

check out this amazing documentary called Ingredients.  i watched it a couple of weeks ago and thought it was great!

this documentary proposes the question...if we love good food, then why aren't we buying good food?
