a little bit of pixie dust is in the air...

I'm in the process of getting ready for our next family fun night. For months now, all I've heard from my little lady is that she can't wait to see the next Tinkerbell movie. So, I thought since she is so excited to see this movie, I would make it a bit more special than just buying the DVD and watching it. I didn't want to spend the money on buying a Tinkerbell costume, so I opted to make a tutu. For about $6 I was able to make a tutu. The tulle was only $.99 a yard (I bought 4 yards) and the ribbon was about $2. I also got to use my new cutting mat, that I bought with the money my parents sent me for my birthday...thanks, again Mom!
I bought 2 colors of tulle- apple green and lime.

I rolled up the tulle and cut them into 3 inch strips.

I just tied the tulle onto the ribbon, leaving extra ribbon on each end to use to tie into a bow.

The finished product...I can't wait to give it to her! It was an easy project that require no sewing.
