what i'm reading

When I discovered that Shaunti Feldhahn had a new book out, The Surprising Secrets of Highly Happy Marriages, I jumped at the chance to review it! Several years ago, I did her bible study, For Women Only and I loved it!  Shaunti does a lot of research and interviews that help her in writing her book. She takes an important look at what is going on in marriages today and looks at the little things that often get overlooked and how we can improve to make a big difference in our marriage.  The book is filled with practical help and is a great book to help any marriage thrive!

I received this book free from Waterbrook Multnomah in exchange for my review.  All my opinions are my own and I was not required to give a good review.

One God One Plan One Life by Max Lucado is a devotional for teens.  Although I don't have a teenager yet, I like looking ahead and finding things that will encourage them in their faith as they grow older.  The devotion is very simple and easy to read.  The devotional is broken up into 12 months and it has a reading for each day.  At the end of each day, Max leaves you with "one more thought," a sentence or two that really captures the essence of the topic for that day.   I think this would be a great devotional for any teenager!
