Pirates on the Farm by Denette Fretz is a really cute book! Both of my kids loved it and it has a lot of humor within it. It's about 5 pirates that move into a little neighborhood and cause quite the commotion. Most of the neighbors are upset about the pirates living by them but the father of the family next door, shows them kindness, acceptance and love. A great book to teach my kids about showing love to others even if they are different than us!

Let There Be Light by Desmond Tutu is a biblical retelling of the seven days of creation. The writing in the book is good, but what makes it even better are all the illustrations. The illustrator, Nancy Tillman, uses photography and art to create the illustrations and they are beautiful! My kids love the pictures in the book and have read it several times!
