goodbye summer, hello fall

September always marks the changing of seasons for me...
the leaves begin to change colors
there's a chill in the air in the evenings
and i'm usually scrambling to find a cozy sweater to wrap around me.

we just began our cool-down here.  it has been so hot up until a couple of days ago.  the other day, i was craving to get crafty and decided to make a new wreath for the front door.
i didn't want your typical fall wreath, probably because bright orange is my least favorite color. i decided to go more subtle, plus i couldn't pass up the burlap flowers when i saw them! i ended up not using the pine cones either.
it was simple, fun and makes me happy seeing it when i walk through the front door.

  1. Such a beautiful wreath! You get a chance, please link up to the Suburbsmama Sunday Linky Party:

  2. This is SO pretty, Melissa! Love love love it! Saw you featured at TT&J. :)

  3. Can you give a breakdown of where you got the supplies and the steps?

  4. Very elegant and I love the touch of chevron! Very pretty! Come link up to the Fall Wreath challenge at The CSI Project. It is going on right now.

  5. Do you sell the wreaths you make? I'm the least crafty person in the world!
