the other day i spent time making homemade strawberry jam.
this was the first time i've made jam. i really enjoy canning and saw the yummy recipe in pioneer woman's new cookbook, so i had to give it a try. i know, i've been talking about pioneer woman a lot lately...but her recipes are amazing!
i cut up all the strawberries.
caution...this is when you might have a heart attack...just pour in 10 cups of sugar! yikes!
the wide mouth funnel is a must-have tool when canning! it helps so much!
the jars took a nice 15 minute bath in boiling water and then taken out of the water and allowed to sit for 24 hours.
