i've always tried to take care of myself and live a healthy lifestyle. for most of my life i've been very healthy, but the last two years i've seen the doctor more than i would ever have thought.
it first began with me having 8 sinus infections in about a period of 6 months. I finally total my doctor, it's time to see a specialist. he sent me to an ears, nose and throat specialist. i went through a series of allergy testing and found out i'm allergic to all kids of things...all tree pollens, all weed pollens, grass, some molds, cats, dogs. pretty much everything airborne outside. since living in a bubble is not an option for me, i decided to start allergy treatment. i'm coming up on a year of being on it and it has helped tremendously! i also had nasal surgery, to correct a deveated septum and other sinus stuff to help with my problems. both are helping me so much and i haven't been sick like i was all last fall through spring.
just recently, i found out i have Hashimoto's disease. Hashimoto’s disease is an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid. although, my thyroid is ok now, i will have problems in the future and my doctors and i will have to keep a close watch on it.
with these issues, it has challenged me to really look at my life and make some changes.
changes that i will be sharing with you.
i'm a very inquisitive person, love to learn new things and i'm not afraid of making changes! when i heard some of the results, i was a bit down and feeling like my body is aging quicker than i feel. but then i realized that i can do something about it. i can make adjustments to my life and my family's life that will help us live a much better quality of life. we all have some issue or another, but i know through God's leading that He will give me what i need.
Thanks for sharing. You will be in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear the changes you'll be making!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate... Justin calls me a lemon because I am constantly sick; kidney stones, Hashimoto's, Pneumonia bouts every winter, a genetic heart condition, etc.. And like you, I've just made some pretty drastic changes within the past two weeks. For me, it's my diet. I have given up crap foods and replaced them with whole foods. So far so good and I look forward to what you're doing too :)
