I decide to learn how to make tamales, after all it's Cinco de Mayo tomorrow. It is a long process that took 2 days.
Day 1- I cooked the meat, shredded it and mixed in the seasoning. Then put it in the fridge, ready to go for the next day.
Day 2- I soaked the corn husks in water for a couple of hours, then made the masa mixture. I recruited my mom and sister to help me assemble the tamales. It took us a couple of hours and now they are cooking! I can't wait to try one!
