apple picking

i have special memories of going to Oak Glen in the fall when i was growing up. Oak Glen has several apple orchards, cute little restaurants and shops and anything apple you could want. sometimes, i would go with my family, but other times, it would be with my mom and my aunt Joann. it was special girl time that i loved!

last weekend, i took my kids apple picking.  i found a small organic apple farm that we were able to go to and pick different types of apples.

the farmer came out and told us about each tree and the different types of apples.  he was a wealth of information!   the kids loved it and so did i!   now all we have to do is make some delicious treats!
