since red & white was our theme for our happy birthday Jesus party, i wanted an ornament that would go along with that. it also was a great craft for the kids to make after reading "J is for Jesus." the story does a great job of explaining the meaning of a candy cane and what the red and white stripes mean.
materials needed~
clear glass bulbs
red and white acrylic paint
cups to hold the glass bulb are optional but makes it easier for kids to hold onto.
pour in some paint and swirl it around to coat the inside of the glass bulb.
allow it to dry and then put the hanger back in and hang on the tree.
