$40 a week challenge...

Here is our shopping for the week...

I loaded up on fruits and veggies again at our local farmer's market. Plus, I bought 2 gallons of milk and whipping cream. We have been making our own homemade ice cream, instead of buying store brand, which is really yummy and I needed some more stuff for that. My total came to $38.55.

Next stop was Safeway. I got quite a few snack items, some cereal. We don't usually eat the cereal for breakfast, I use it more for desserts...like Puppy Chow. I used a lot of paper coupons and coupons that I download to my store cards from different websites-cellfire and shortcuts. My total was $3.97!!! Plus, 2 Catalina's printed out totalling $5.50 that I can use on my next shopping trip!

My total for both stores was $42.52 I'm over my budget by $2.52 but last week I was a bit under, so I think I will call that good! I know some of you might think I'm crazy for posting this, but it is a way for me to keep myself accountable with my $40 a week challenge and to hopefully encourage you to save money too!

  2. Wow! I need a lesson from you! What exactly are your coupon sites? I don't really do coupons at all. I figured it was a lot of work to save a few cents, but you did an amazing job. I could use some schooling!
