This morning, I was greeted by my 2 favorite people as they brought me breakfast in bed. Swedish pancakes, my favorite! I guess all a girl has to do to get this kind of service is have a birthday!
After breakfast, I had a hair appointment to go to. It's always kind of scary to go some where new, but that's what your forced to do when you move. I went to Paul Mitchell Salon School to get my hair cut. For ten bucks I got an awesome wash (including head massage), cut and style!
Then I met up with my family for lunch at Lucile's, a creole and cajun restaurant. We had a table on the front porch and it was just a beautiful day. I really wanted a big glass of sweet tea, but they didn't have it. There's something wrong with that! I mean, come on...sweet tea is basically water to the South. Oh well, it was still a great place to go and I loved the food and atmosphere!
My little lady had Gumbo to eat.
I had Shrimp Creole...spicy and yummy!
My man got a Po'boy sandwich and cajun fries.
For dessert, biegnets...a french doughnut. So stinkin' good!
They got me a gift certificate for a massage for my birthday! My favorite!
I'm not too fond of cake, so my man got a coconut cream pie for me from the local pie shop. All in all it was a wonderful day!
Happy Birthday Melissa!! It sounds and looks like you had a wonderful day.....and your hair looks great too!!!
